This is the first of 5 different quotes that I am going to illustrate typographically. Prints will be available through my Society6, as well as cards through my Raccoon Press
Marie Antoinette Ship Hat inspired Tattoo Design
I’ve really enjoyed this project, not only because it was for a friend, but also because it was so good to get my teeth into some detail! All elements relate to not only my friends tastes, but also the heritage of Marie Antoinette.
Integrated into her head band is Jasmine, which is said to have been one of Marie’s favourite flowers and wore it in her perfume. I have included plume feathers - my friends favourite type of feather and also the symbol of royalty. I tried to mix together 1920’s head decorations, whilst creating the hair to be like the waves that the ship sits upon.

North American Pattern

I thought I’d finish this little pattern that I was working on, and here is the result! All elements relate to North American flora and fauna - we’ve got your grizzly, beaver, eagle, butterfly and dwarf dogwood plant. Although it’s not as colourful as the other patterns I’ve created I quite like that - it has a lovely fresh feel about it! What do you think?

Recently I had the privilege of being commissioned by my lovely friend and fellow business buddy Klara Piechocki-Brown to design a tattoo for her based on Marie Antoinette and her famous ship hat.

Here is the progress so far and I’m really getting into it! As you know I haven’t posted anything for a while as I’ve been so involved with Raccoon Press so this is a breath of fresh air to be wiedling a pencil once more.

Finished photos will be up soon, and if you are interested in a custom tattoo design then please feel free to email me at info@loveraccoons.co.uk

Hope you all have a lovely weekend!

I was very excited and pleased to have been asked to submit work for this amazing exhibition! You may have heard of Manchester based design group Lazerian before, or maybe you might have seen their stuff in Four Rooms on the BBC, but either way go check them out and keep checking back to see future updates about the exhibition and my design!
Cosmic Repeat pattern

some new WIP i’m trying to slot in, in between business plan writing, Raccoon Press, Tattoo drawing and working part time.

A little something I’m working on! I know its been an age since I’ve posted on my illustration blog, but hopefully soon there will be more to post!
